Pure lies from the media?!

Chelsea

Shevchenko apparently this week stated that he was ready to go back to Italy rather than fight for a place at Chelsea. Now, it seems, he has gone back on that descision, or was it pure manipulation of his words by the media!?
During the World Cup there were reports that Didier Drogba wanted to leave because of Shevchenko's arrival. Drogba denied these claims and is now thriving and finishing his career at chelsea (hopefully).
The goons who write drivel in the sports pages keep hollering for more punishment for diving in football, which is totally acceptable, but surely there should be restrictions on what the media say without actually checking whether their information is correct!!
I myself have only used examples from Chelsea as i am not as knowledgable with the gossip concerning other clubs, so that i do not say something that is incorrect and thus join the sess-pit of pure lies that is...the media. I would be very interested to hear what other fans think of these blatent lies that are published about their (and other) teams.

Thing is, Sheva is working in a team not suited to him. Chelsea play a different style to Meeeelan. There he had a special understanding with Kaka, and despite all their world class mid fielders, Chelsea don't have a Kaka. The only was Sheva will really come good is if Roman shells out 40 million for the Brazilian magician, and this will never happen-Kaka likes his football.

You do not forget how to be a quality player overnight, Chelsea do not play with Sheva in mind. I have not bought a paper in months and am not about to change the habit. They print so many lies and speculate about so much crap. Managers do use the media to unsettle teams. Fergie who cannot take the neccesary critisism directed at him when he makes one of his senile comments but loves to manipulate the media for his own purposes. It makes you laugh they ask a manager 100 questions during one of many weeekly press conferences but when they report anything it generelly is a mis quote or something totally unconfouded. Rafa and Coppell have the right idea; answer the question and wave good bye. Lets hope that with the explosion of computers that more accurate reporting catches on and paper circulation declines sending them into the toilet into which they like to descend now a days.

THE MEDIA LIES: Shock horror as it is revealed that tabloid newspapers make stuff up for their pages.

On other pages:
Pope admits he likes the idea of Catholicism.

Bear admits that due to the lack of outdoor toilet facilities he has to defecate in the woods.

Sorry to be sarcastic. But, the media have done this since the dawn of time. And the only time people complain is when its something they don't like.

Tabloid newspapers (in the case of the sun and their sister company skysports)only print or say what people want to hear. They make stuff up, because people want to believe it. For example, How many Chelsea fans believe that William Gallas threatened to score own goals? Loads. Even though they probably know it was a make up story by the PR men at the Bridge. They still wanted to believe it.

How many people still believe that Wenger and Henry had a bust up, Even though both men have denied it and there's no proof they didn't? Loads. It was complete twaddle. But, people are still saying there's a problem between the two.

The best way to stop them making up rubbish is to stop buying their papers. But, as I know from my mates, this week somebody maybe calling a tabloid paper "gutter press". But, next week when something interests them it'll be the fountain of all knowledge.

The Media won't be happy until Defoe is playing regualarly at a big club...

They'll try to say that Reo-Coker is better than Essien, Carson better than Cech, Ricardo Carvalho is nothing compared to Wesley Foderingham

As magic points out it's mainly a load of lies. Let's face it which story would you pay more attenion to "Sheva happy at Chelski" or "Sheva gone in Jan." It's pretty obvious that a scandal or shock will have more of an impact, espically when it's relating to something we show an interest in.

Garth Crooks' team of the week ...

How the whatever did Richards get in he gave the ball away for the second goal...Because he's English... AND HE GOT INJURED DIDN'T HE ALSO?

But I have to go against what Sun reports Mouriniho said about Arsneal fixing the match to aid United's challenge...

Arsnael beat Man U away
They drew with Chelsea away...

Since when did teams trying to win become cheating sides? ... Has Jose just lost his mind from listening too much Alan Green.

Like anyone else would!

The media always enjoy playing with peoples words as no doubt certain headlines would sell more papers.

The Henry V Barca saga is a good point as at one point the media had Henry already in the shirt and contracts signed before Henry had to actually do it himself and say on national TV I'M STAYING before the press would stop

i believe we all hav respect for the ukranian international indivdually for what he did over the years.i think players from italy find hard for the english game.veron spring to mind,he was one of the paid players man utd ever acquired but what he cold offer was some silly mistakes and blunder that leaves one wondering if he was an international skipper that time(that time).scheva needs time or just shown the door fotr the sake of chelsea but he really cost one damn of money.
