SACK PARDEWPremiership West Ham United by spikeammer (U5803704) 06 December 2006 We have to sack Pardew quickly, while Alan Curbishley is still available, let him get into the seat and buy his own players in the tranfer window. None of Pardews purchases this summer have come off. There has been one good performance against Arsenal the other wins have been very lucky. Don't wait to long this time get him out. lishloz (U3304717) posted Dec 7, 2006 I've had enough of the man Pardew!! When will the blame ever lay at his feet?? I'm tired of the fact someone else is always to blame, first the argies then the take over, last night the players is this man never at fault himself?? I think he is just as guilty of expecting this side to just carry on doing well after the succses of last year! Did he not realise that because of this he would have to motivate his players even more this year to keep those standards!! It's becoming more apparent with the man that when things start to go wrong he has no clue how to change this. I would love to be shot down come the end of the season when we have mid table safety but I have to say with Pardew in charge I cant see this being the case!!

ReadyTeddyGo (U4022324) posted Dec 7, 2006 The only new signing that has come close to impressing me is Green. He's looked quite accomplished in the matches I've seen and apart from the Blackburn game at home its hard to fault him for any of the goals. Its not his fault he's had 10 donkeys playing in front of him.

geehammer (U6811134) posted Dec 7, 2006 I dont think sacking Pardew is the answer either, it is the players that are not playing. Al this talk about Mascherano playing in midfield?? are you kidding me, he gives the ball away all the time and shows no ability in shielding it from opponents at all!! Tevez is finally coming good but he's one guy in the team. Now i hear that were in for ANOTHER striker during january, maybe better defenders would be in order. Frankly ive always been amazed at how lucky our defence is, as all those players are well over-rated and certainly not premiership quality!!! A few years back, everyone said we were too good to go down and look what happened then... Dont believe that it cant happen, it WILL unless those players start turning it around and stop being the laughing stock of the premiership...

unbeatableRonaldo007 (U3663591) posted Dec 7, 2006 Well Pardew has a very serious battle to contend with and thats relegation. Neil Warnick has his Sheffield United team working like dogs and i believe theywill stay up. Charlton and Watford are definately down and West Ham have a right battle staying up. Pardew wont be grinning after losing anymore. The huge grin on his face after West Ham had lost 4-1 to 10 men Chelsea at the bridge last year has long gone. The next few games for West Ham are very very tough and a demoralising thrashing by Manchester United could really hit team morale and spiral a worser decline in results seriously affecting West Hams relegation survival.

hollis216 (U4744548) posted Dec 8, 2006 I think that the squad is just too young. There is no regular starter with the experience to pull things together, dish out cut tails and keep the lads in line. Nothing against NRC, he was in good form last season, but he's too young to be wearing the armband. A signing of a player similar to Kavanagh is what would really impress me now. He's no superstar, but at the same time you know he'd dish out a Keano-esque slap if need be.

theenforcer22 (U5587034) posted Dec 8, 2006 How can you judge players like Paintsil and Mears when they've hardly played and came into a team that was struggling from the off? Surely they're better defensively than Lionel Scaloni? Looks to me like some of the players who were already there are the ones in poor form: Harewood, Etherington, Benayoun, Konchesky, Reo-Coker. Give McCartney, Mascherano, Zamora, Bowyer and Dailly a go. Ok, maybe not Dailly!

cowboypete (U6805741) posted Dec 8, 2006 Scaloni? Wasn't he the man who cost us the FA Cup Final? I thought Spector looked good when he first came in, but like everyone else he's suffering as the team as a whole looks shakey. It seems to me that everyone agrees Reo Coker needs a rest. I'd like to see Bowyer in there alongside Mullins. It's all very well criticising Bowyer but he's yet to play in his best position, in the middle. At least he's a trier. Anyway, I've just seen the squad for tomorrow and see he's ill, and with others injured it looks like the only changes will be the centre of defense - just where we don't need it! I'm still sticking with Pardew though. Have those who've been criticising his signings forgotten what a talented squad he's put together? - even if we're not performing at the moment. Anyway, from what I hear it could be all academic as two more losses could see us with a certain Swede at the helm!! Comment on this article
