grapeshisha (U6781191) posted Dec 4, 2006 Dubai is all about branding, and aligning itself to the best, whether that is through JVs or simply through the lure of the petrodollar. What the UAE is doing, is going from desert to modern mirage in warpspeed - and thus the lure to tourism is the niche of "bling". Tiger is obviously being paid well for this, but on top of that is probably being given some sense of freedom of design, which works well for both Dubai and him. And it is tested. Montgomerie is loving his new pad!

mshostak (U2796554) posted Dec 4, 2006 Who cares if some rich American golfer designs a new golf club in connection with rich sponsers from Dubai. How about the BBC stops wasting British License payers money so that it's reporters can have a jolly and tell us what's really going on in Dubai.
