Celtic Polish the SPL trophy..

Scottish Premier Celtic

Aberdeen came to Celtic Park, in the hope of continuing their impressive league form.
Celtic had the best of the chances in the first half, and better finishing would have seen them go in with a half-time lead.
The fans had to wait until the introduction of Polish internationalist Zurawski for the breakthrough - it came in the 71st minute, when he swept home from six yards!
Aberdeen refused to go down without a fight, and almost equalized in the closing minutes, when a Anderson header was wonderfully saved by the in-form Artur Boruc (the best keeper in the SPL?).

The march towards the league title continues, as relentless Celtic look unshakable from their dominant league position.

Nice to be going into a Champions League match feeling relaxed - from a fans point of view I mean.

Wonder if the drop in pressure will help the team to a confident performance.

With regard to Celtic and their last couple of games. I feel that we are playing well within ourselves, which has nearly been to our cost. Let's hope that after the Copenhagen match we breathe a sigh of contentment, and get back to open footy the way we like to watch it being played. Anyone got tips for who might be coming in January 07, if at all?

As a non celtic fan, I would have to say this looks like the the weakest strike force in years. There doesn't look like a 25 goal plus striker in the side for the first time in many years.

I know JVoH has been injured for a little while but Miller and Zurawski aren't really getting a huge amount of goals (take away Zurawski's opening day goals and he hasn't done much).

THE LEAGUE SHOULD JUST CLOSE UP SHOP NOW AND GIVE YOU THE CUP, RANGERS ARE TERRIBLE AND HEARTS ARE IN CHAOS!

Artur Boruc must be one of the best keepers playing in Europe at present.
I would like Gordon to give Derek Riordan a run soon as he was a prolific goalscorer at Hibs and at times lately we look like we need somene who can score on a regular basis.

Is it not about time that the Celtic manager gave Riordan a chance to play from the start maybe not on Wednesday but with a couple of easy games coming up over the next few weeks it would be an ideal time to give him a run in the team to see what he can offer the team.

I agree with the comments regarding Riordan. Maybe WGS does notlike his attitude or personality. However he is a goalscorer and Celtic seem to lack one at the moment - so why not give him a chance.
