U2037234 posted Dec 2, 2006 i don't think it's a bad idea to encourage excellence in all aspects of the game. the best coaches should walk through the badge collecting excercise, so they shouldn't fear compulsory badges for top level jobs. what we need possibly even more than that though, is players who can actually play! by that i mean it would be helpful to have players who can keep hold of the ball, pass to a team-mate, and kick with both feet (just in case it comes to the 'wrong' one)!!! fast and exciting though our game is, the technique is embarassing for the most part.
