Shevchenko brushes off rumours

Premiership Chelsea
comment on the article
Andriy Shevchenko

Andriy Shevchenko has dismissed reports he wants to return to AC Milan, and says he wants to stay at Chelsea.

But Shevchenko, 30, admitted his indifferent form since his £30m arrival during the summer had sparked speculation he is not happy in England.

He told Chelsea's website: "If that means there is opinion and criticism I respect that.

"I give 100% all the time and I am committed and hungry for success withg Chelsea, who I have total respect for."

How has Shevchenko performed so far for Chelsea? Are there signs he is now adjusting to the Premiership? Or will it be next season we see the best of him?

Do you agree that player of his calibre is bound to come good in the end or is his style of play not suited to the Premiership? Your thoughts please...

Hey...im a chelsea fan but dont see any point arguing about frank or steve as both are world class players...and perhaps gerrard will think of joining us when we win champions league this season...or may be when he's fed up with the loosers in red....

gerrard/lampard???? the best is yet to come. cristiano ronaldo is the midfielder to fear. if he was english then ya wouldnt have them on the pitch for england. as long as ya got greedy lampard and gerrard the flop in the squad they will never win the world cup!!! just like liverfool and the dumb blues will never be a glitch on UNITED!!!! dont give the crap that ya 1 prem twice in a row. ya not the 1st 2 do it and wont be the last. once united bond they will eat ya all 4 breakfast, again. live on sir alex!! a true manager through and through.

He's getting better and better playing for Chelsea and giving 100% so it's just a question of time; besides Chelsea's scoring record is excellent so what's the fuss??!!....

Honestly, I wish he stays in Chelsea forever because after he's fully adapted to our style of play and starts banging in the goals all the noise being made about his return to his former club and all others will be forgotten

i think that shevchenko hasnt really adjusted to the premiership yet but i think he has more to show. He is a class player one of the best without a doubt but is not showing it.

Though goals are important in football, i think sheva is doing well in terms of goal creation. Like the eg on Henry, i think sheva is even trying and morihno should exercise some patience for him.
Remember the same baseless criticisms treatened Drogba to leave chelsea this season but now he is the golden boy of the Chelsea funs.

wayne rooney cost 30 mill, the facts r that in the past two seasons drogba has out scored him and notched up more assists. drogba is a better player than wayne rooney. also lampard is better than scholes and carrick, who cost 18.6 mill. hes probably worth a staggering 5 million. hes slow hes weak and he plays a cagey boring game. people over rate his passing because he doesnt attempt the extravagent lampard, gerrard, or ballack type pass chelsea are soooo much better than united

only 8% of lampards goals scored for chelsea have come from deflections. lampard has out performed gerrard this season and countless others. also there is always talk of lampard and gerrard not performing well together, in my opinion it is more to do with gerrard as lampard has displayed he can adjust as he has done with ballack and the new formation. perhaps the blame lies at gerrards door

I totally agree.
