Watford 0-1 Sheff Utd

Premiership Watford

comment on the article

Former Watford striker Danny Webber scored a controversial goal against his old club to give Sheffield United a crucial win in their relegation fight.

Substitute Webber headed in from close range in the 88th minute, though replays suggested he was offside.

But United probably deserved the win given both Christian Nade and Rob Hulse struck the post in the second half.

Give your thoughts on the match.

even though im a great fan of boothroyd, he is poor at making decisions on substitues

we didnt have one midfielder on the bench yesterday

and why wasnt shittu on from the start, beacuse mackay and spring played rubbish!

he needs to do what lewington when ashley nad macca first made a name for themselves

play young and bouazza, and have either mcnamee or jarret on the ebch and when you get to the 75th minuite bring them on. the defenders are already exhausted but with the pace and skill they got thy can easily change the game

Watford were completely outplayed by the better team and were very lucky to only lose 1-0.

Jagielka and Morgan were outstanding for the blades, and morgan should start every match he has been a far better player than davis this season.

Maybe Watford can repeat their feat at Bramhall Lane last season when they go to the away fixture. If Watford can convert Aidy's passion into performance, there's a chance they could stay up.

i was disapointed when i found ou the score. watford of won and losing like that just shows they have no chance in staying up. a shame cos i like watford

As a neutral i've got to say i'm disappointed with not being able to see King play more for Watford because of his bad injury. He scored a cracker I think against West Ham, which definitely impressed me. With King they would have standed a better chance of staying in the top flight. However I may be wrong; stranger things have happened.

As a Blades fan I just wanted to add my thoughts on last nights game and a lot of the posts on here.
Firstly I have a lot of sympathy for Watford, Yes it was offside and yes they should have had a penalty. In fact if the decisions were reversed I would be extremley dissapointed. But, I believe luck balances out over the season, and even neutrals must admit the blades have had some dodgy decisions go against them so far so maybe this was our recompense.

As for the standard of the game. I have to laugh when the high and mighty fans of the premierships top clubs scoff at the tactics of some teams. The majority of football fans dont like to sit in expensive seats in plush new grounds eating expensive burgers and drinking bud whilst being 'entertained'. For most fans it is about results. I mean Arsenal fans will admit they would swop one of their well worked goals for a few more scrappy tap ins that win games!

Baz - I would suggest that luck balances itself out for the "big" sides, not for the likes of us.
That said, if we keep playing like we did last night then no amount of luck, and boy are we due some, is going to keep us up.
