Even if it was... I'm sure they wouldn't mind Liverpool putting it top of the European 'anthem' charts...

like i explainedonly a few have earned there place abroad

keegan, wilkins etc

gerrard is one of these, owen went for fame/cash into a big club who had ronaldo, raul. SG would pish Real - he is class -he needs it for maturity into the No1 midfielder in UK & world

all the clubs want him thou they wont admit it

Imho it's Real that have gone the fame/cash/prestige way & lost their class/direction.

They won't be threatening for another CL for a while still so there's no attraction there for SG except for retirement (a la Beckham).

YNWA "originates from celtic song dont it though????"

Don't be silly. YNWA has been sung at Anfield since it was made a hit by Gerry & the Pacemakers. 40+ years.

YNWA has never been a traditional Celtic anthem. Only in the last few years have they adopted it and sung it regularly. Passionately, but YNWA is Liverpool's anthem. Knowledgeable football fans around the world know this.

We even have it memorialised on the Shankly gates.

Like Wot Kuyt e did says why are the losers Chelsea the headline?

The fly by night team take precedent over 5 times winners and this seasons best British CL performers? Same thing with 5 Live carrying the bluenose's commentary.

How much has Abramovich paid the BBC to give his minor club precedent over England's most successful club ever?
