Detroit City after a great run in the Greatwood hurdle will show the others who's boss next March in the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham. After denying top weight in the Greatwood looksa real good bet as lat years winner Brave Inca got beat at Ireland under the hands of Barry Geraghty by Iktitaf.Winning the Cesarewitch on the flat he looks to have the pace and stamina to dominate the other horses.Iktitaf after picking up Asian Maze at Leopardstown looks another horse to look forward to.The biggest eye-catcher is Paul Nicholls Kauto Star is bidding for an amazing
Kempton and Cheltenham double.Looking for the Tote Cheltenham Gold Cup and the King George double to go for the amazing Million Pounds prize.

I have no doubts Detroit City is a good horse I would just worry what he beat in the Greatwood Hurdle.
Certainly with Iktitaf, Brave Inca, Hardy Eustace, Macs Joy and Desert Quest and Harchibald if not injured it looks like a cracking race at the festival. I can't wait for the Boylesports Hurdle Dec 9 to see some of the big guns in action.

Whilst Detroit City won very well. I still think Brave Inca is the horse to beat. Its to early in the season to get carried away. I've seen it all before. The horse I'm looking forward to see is BJK from JJO Neil stable. This horse would beat DC and Brave Inca over 2 miles without breaking a sweat. The horse is simply DIFFERENT CLASS.

I think even though Brave Inca is a good horse and so is the other horses that Detroit City is a monster and it will take some talence and class to beat him.

I'm inclined to agree with the lack of championship class horses in the greatwood but DC couldn't have won it any easier than he did but Ihave to say the national hunt has really sparked into life with the emergence of horses of his calibre along with kauto star and monets garden it should be a cracking winter/spring and roll on march!!!

Think as usual it all depends on the ground. Connections were thinking of racing over further had he flopped at Cheltenham and I think easy ground would be a must for DC to win the Champion Hurdle.Should it come up top of the ground a lively outsider has to be Arcalis. Another horse not to give up on is Fundamentalist- still think that one's a machine.
