Northern Cyprus is the scene of a revolutionary new concept in football called the ELF Cup. The Elf Cup of 2006 got off to a great start on the 19th of November 2006 with Group A:Gaugazia VS Greenland and Zanzibar VS Kyrgystan at 20 Temmuz Stadium, Girne. Group B was Tajikistan VS Tibet [Zafer Stadium,Güzelyurt] and Northern Cyprus VS Crimea at Ataturk Stadium , Lefkopa [Nicosia].

Group A: Greenland defeated Gagauzia 2 to 0 with two goals by Sandgreen [33 minutes] and Kreutsmann [68 minutes]. Zanzibar defeated Kyrgyzstan 1-0 with a goal by Suleiman Kassim Suleiman [9 minutes].

Group B: The Dynamic Duo from Tajikistan [Aknazarov & Faizullaev] won their first victory in the cup against Tibet 3-0. Northern Cyprus defeated Crimea in goal after goal after goal to reach 5-0.

20th of November 2006: Group A: Kyrgyzstan recovered from its loss to Zanzibar to defeat Gagauzia 6-2. Zanzibar equalized with Greenland 1-1. In Group B: Crimea defeated Tibet 1-0 while Northern Cyprus handed Tajikistan its first defeat in the Elf Cup 5-1.

21st of November 2006: It is down to the wire Kyrgyzstan defeating Greenland 1 to 0 and an equalizer between Gagauzia and Zanzibar in Group A. In Group B, Crimea defeats Tajikistan 2 to 1 while Northern Cyprus defeats Tibet 10-0. What will happen at the semi finals and finals to be played at Ataturk Stadium at Lefkopa [Nicosia].

The answer is that on the 23rd of November 2006, Kyrgyzstan will play Crimea and Northern Cyprus will play Zanzibar in the semi finals. The winners of these semi finals will advance to the finals and will savor the beauty of victory.
