backtobasicsCFC (U6681009) posted Nov 23, 2006 jam3sm. firstly, do not use my FAMILIES nationality against me, racist. anyhow, by your spelling you sound more foreign. or are you just dyslexic? aww.... secondly, we played bremen away, not at home. a bremen side with a passionate support, a bremen-supporting highly rated coach, a young squad of interationals, a title, ahead of bayern, in the last few years under their belt, i believe, and a recent set of consecutive appearances in the latter stages of the CL. i was complacent in my prediction earlier in the thread, because of our recent good form, but they are an excellent side. thirdly, when did i mention the way the club conducts itself now? even as a fan, i admit that i dont agree with or advocate many of our business practices, our image, the clubs attitude, i dont like most of our players but hell, apart from being a result of our new found wealth, what has the wealth got to do with it? do you think its suddenly unfair just because of jose, kenyon and the things we do on and off the pitch? but then i guess put blinkers on a horse and it will only go one way. fourth, a long long time ago, the FA was born. and in the interests of fair play they passed a law, which i dont know the details of but which worked, to prevent clubs from becoming profit based organisations. then, in the late 80s, MAN UNITED discovered and then pioneered a new loophole that still adhered to the ancient law - become a plc: thats a public limiting company ok? a company you can hold shares in. stock market value rose, club got more successful, fact. great idea, cos it means fans can buy shares in their club, and also improve clubs finances, so other clubs followed suit. but it also marked the point when football became big business. FACT. i know i said i wouldnt bother replying to you but hospital is a boring place. and i know youll reply with some unrelated/unsubstantiated/nonsensical rubbish and/or personal attacks, but then thats the hallmark of an idiot. and i like showing idiots up. adios

Ta5 (U5739538) posted Nov 24, 2006 winning the premiership is number 1 priority, so i personally think chelsea have fullfilled their potential...CL is a cup, played over few games, which throws in the element of luck, which chelsea have lacked in the last few CLs. posted Nov 24, 2006 "Not fulfilling it? ermm 2 back to back championships, looking on course for a champions league and still favourites for the league, im pretty sure thats fulfilling it"
