Flynnton (U6624258) posted Nov 15, 2006 England yet again choose the wrong man. Limited European experience with as small club and little domestic success. Im already resigned to years of mediocrity without any success (quarter final appearances or beyond).

fremans (U6609726) posted Nov 15, 2006 Parker performed awfully against Croatia, as for Dawson, Ferdinand and Terry are solid at the back. I agree Nolan should be given a shot however Barry has had a couple of chances in an England shirt already and didn't take them. The position i feel we're lacking most is a class right-back. Gary Neville has been a great servant to English football, but he is no longer the class player he once was. We need a quick and attacking right back. All eyes in Richards tonight.

criticali (U6625659) posted Nov 15, 2006 McClaren is a second rate manager at the level he is expected to manage. He is unable to cope with the criticism expected of a high profile role. I am affarid I believe The FA are responsible for messing up the appointment. Surely sucess comes from having a decent management and players with potential. I don't think we lack the latter.
