Blackburn v Man Utd

Premiership Blackburn Rovers
comment on the article

Blackburn utility man Brett Emerton could return after missing the last three matches with a hamstring strain.

Midfielders Robbie Savage (thigh) and Steven Reid (back) and striker Jason Roberts (metatarsal) remain sidelined.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson will field the same side that beat Portsmouth last weekend.

United have no fresh injury problems so only Norwegian striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, out for three weeks with a slight hamstring tear, remains absent.

Give your thoughts on the match.

Yay! 1-0

By what I heard United were all over Blackburn, mantaining our 3 point lead. We have to win this year!

Fantastic result for Man Utd, despite the humaliation in mid-week. This proves they can go all the way, but the match with Chelsea coming up soon will be the showdown on who is the better team out of the two.

Cannot see Arsenal and Liverpool making it a four horse race. They dont have as much quality Man Utd and Chelsea have.

I'm disappointed with the standard of the coverage on the BBC website. I used to report fairly poor reports on league games, so I know hard it is to write a decent summary. But the BBC report suggests that United had it easy, which certainly wasn't the case, partciularly in the second half. Rovers lack skill in the last third of the pitch - that's clear. However, Tugay had a good match, and was the best passer on the pitch by a country mile. Also, Rovers hit the crossbar, and it wasn't even mentioned in the BBC report. To suggest that Blackburn were leading a "charmed life" is misleading - and another sign that the reporter reponsible was matching the match through United-coloured spectacles. I'm not trying to claim that Rovers had the best of things. United shaded it, that's clear (mainly thanks to the excellent and infuriating Ronaldo). But it would be nice to read a match report that wasn't blinded by money and glamour. I expect better of the BBC. The person responsible should hang their head in shame. It's a reporter's job to comment on what they see, not what they expect to see.

Please keep things in perspective, Southend showed just how dire a predicament we could be in should say, Giggs, Scholes or Ferdinand be unavailable. The Glazers need to spend in January to wrest the title from Chelsea.

there is need for Man U. not to be carried away yet. the performance in the match was ok except Rooney could have done better. I know Man U. will lift the Premier trophy, Chelsea the champions league and Arsenal the FA
