AndieO (U4798369) posted Nov 9, 2006 It was Davids, Daws, Defoe and the boys. If Spurs had got an early goal it would have been fine but Port Vale showed up the lack of cohesiveness between the regular first teamers and the rest and so Martin Jol had to bring on the big guns to make the difference.

Wardy257 (U2178126) posted Nov 9, 2006 I did not get chance to watch the game. However, MJ had to rest some players with the number of games we will hopefully pay this year. He also has to look at some of the fringe players as we will get key players injured during the season.

woodspur (U6316186) posted Nov 9, 2006 I was at the game last night and i would like to know where mido was? It was the first time i had seen Andy Barcham play and to be honest i was wondering why he was on the pitch in place of Mido and why he has been given a new contract? Did not look up to the pace and looked out of his depth, big sigh of relief when Berbatov came on and opened the Vale up more.

HerneLordOfTheTrees (U2047732) posted Nov 10, 2006 I was there too and Andy Barcham definitely struggled, but then again so did a few others. It was a relief when Huddlestone equalised and inevitable that we'd win in E.T. Comment on this article
