cheats

chelsea and their manager have some cheek calling their fellow professionals cheats. I am not an avid footy watcher but saw enough of the awful tactics of Drogba (always happy to kick push and dive, then cry like a baby when it happens to him) to put me off football for good. When will these overpaid overrated self obsessed prima donnas ever just get on and play football without the thearical dramatics that would put the RSC to shame?

Just because Drogba falls over all the time, doesn't detract from the fact that Mourinho is probably correct in his summary of the match. Although they stopped short of physically assaulting the referee, the mob tactics of Barcelona were shocking to watch. Unfortunately, as UEFA have them up on a pedestal, nothing will be done about it.

Liverpool, Man Utd and Arsenal all have their fair share of divers too - most of them continentals (with the exception of Gerrard). This doesn't however make them bad players, so to say otherwise is utter rubbish - it just means they'll never be regarded as great players.

Face it guys football would be boring if everyone was the ultimate professional, which is why Baseball is so god awful and only watched by Americans who love their statistics and boring Maths geeks.

Mourinho is a great manager and a psychologist, he talks crap for a reason, and with the results he gets, you could argue that it works.

Every good story needs a villian else it wouldn't be worth watching. Look at Maradonna, who remembers him scoring against England with his tiny little hand? EVERYONE. How many England fans were falling over themselves laughing when he got his comeuppance 8 years later when he failed a drugs test!

Football is the world's biggest pantomime, like it or lump it.

Thats good logic isnt it? Why dont we just throw sportsmanship out the window? Hell why dont we just write scripts for matches and become the WWF

Gooner_87, all I was saying was that the game needs players who lack basic sportsmanship, so the fans can enjoy booing, singing, chanting etc. about these "players."

Unfortunately it appears you are an Arsenal and are used to watching flowing entertaining football, but it's not like that for the rest of us!

PS Rijkaard the dignified sportsman, having to be pulled away from the ref by his captain! Anybody remember him spitting at Rudi Voeller in the 1990 world cup. Very dignified

Gooner_87 I'm a Derby fan mate, but I'll defend Mourinho's right to his own opinion.

ElMatador7 why are you convinced he said something racist, surely by assuming Terry said something racist just because Ledley King is black, is racist in itself! Stick to supporting Barca mate (the epitome of honest play!)
