Premiership West Ham United

Finally with a 2-1 win over Blackburn. They looked a whole different team today compared to previous matches. Their first 3 points after losing so many matches.

Sheringham scored the first goal and Mullins added with the second one. Bentley scored a late goal for the visitors.

Well done Hammers! West Ham will get some comfort and confidence from today's result.

It was a draw, and once again it comes down to the lines men who miss vital parts in the games, just like at Bolton where agoal was clearly in over the line but the regeree refused to give it. We had more possetion than West ham and deserved a point out of the game, everyone thinks so mooreclaret.

"It was a draw...everyone thinks so...."

Actally, no, it was a win - I checked the scoreboard before I left the gorund and distinctly remember it said 2-1.

And who's 'everybody'? The reports I've read suggest a tight game, scares at both ends and West Ham shading it, which I think sounds about right.

It was similar to all 3 games against Blackburn last season and I'd say we're pretty evenly matched.

It's one game, get over it - ok, you've lost 3, but try losing 8 on the spin! Even Mark Hughes was on MOTD saying your first half performance cost you a result - he took it on the chin.

Good luck for the rest of the season. ale

I have to agree with teh BBurn fans, a draw would have been a fairer result. A better performance from the Hammers, well, a 20 minute spell at least but the opposition were toothless and rarely threatened. Your next three games will be tough so I wouldn't put the Champers on ice just yet.

Can you believe that I got an email from a Hammers fan today saying ' we're a top 6 team and we'v eproven that after beating a difficult BBurn team'.. he also predicts you'll make teh final of teh FA cup again.. can anyone explain whether this freak is alone in his thoughts or do teh non hammers fans just not see what you see???? Confused.

I thought we dominated the first half but blackburn were on top for most of the second half.

Zamora should have done better with his one-on-one as we needed that 2 gol cushion. Luckily Mullins tucked one away to provide that.

Was so nervous at the end. The thought of Franny 'Fox in the Box' Jeffers taking the win away from us brings me out in cold sweats thinking of the shame I would face at work today. When the final whistle went I realised that there is a merciful God after all.

A great show of character from the Hammers yeterday, now Pardew needs to keep that team spirit up. It was a completely different side to the one that lost at Saltergate on Tuesday night.

Now we are out of the drop zone, we just need to keep it up, making steady progress to where we belong - the top 8.

Zamora didn't look sharp yesterday, but in fairness, to come off the back of a club record of the lowest form in 74 years, it could probably be expected.

Sheringham, however, looked as sharp as ever, and although his legs couldn't carry him for 90 minutes, it was a talismanic performance by the old boy.

In the end, 2-1 was a fair result, and the three points taken at the Boleyn was three more reasons Pardew deserves a little longer at the helm.

Bobby did run his heart out for us. i thought the back four looked more composed without painstil and konchesky.
Thought mulllins was supurb, how could we ever drop him!

We need to build on this performance, being consistent at home and on the road, get this whole takeover business behind us and get on with the football!

I couldn't agree more with daddyocool, it should be all about the football.

Lets get back to basics and start winning.

Where were the Blackburn fans? Their end was half empty. Didn't hear a squeak from them all game, even when they scored. Could it be because we drowned them out? I could swear the DML was vibrating to the sound of "Alan Pardew's Claret and Blue Army" at the start.
