With the news the Randy Lerner is seeking sponsors for renaming Villa Park, do you think its right that something which has been for so long been synonymous with Aston Villa should be renamed from Villa Park.

To be honest I couldn't give a sh*t if they changed the name. It will still be known as Villa Park to all the fans and everyone in football. As far as I'm concerned if it means an extra 20m, 30m, 40m to spend on players and developing the side I couldn't care less. I'm just waiting for the day we actually get a good kit sponser like Nike or Adidas instead of Hummel, Diadora, Asics, the list goes on... ;-)

In principle I am against renaming Villa Park, but I have no objection to naming any stand (except maybe the Holte End) or entrance or other part, such as the goals or centre circle using an appropriate and attractive sponsor's name if the money is right.

I Can't see what the fuss is about - We, the fans, will always refer to the ground as Villa Park, if someone wants to hand over a wedge of cash to rename it then so be it - more cash for the club and hopefully more players, happy days!

To be honest, i'm surprised more clubs haven't opted for this given the amounts of money on offer.

Its catching on with most new stadiums now, and theres nothing really wrong with that. Sometimes, I feel "the Reebok" or "the Emirates", sounds better than some of the other twaddle like "The City of Manchester Stadium" or "the Madjeski".

At the end of the day, the fans decide the name (ie. Upton Park), and so long as the sponsor dosen't sound silly, people get used to it.

If it means we get money to splash, im all up for it. In all Villains hearts it will be villa park so a sponser isnt gonna change that. Now all we need is a half decent shirt sponser and kit sponser, nike or adidas will do me fine. Should cash in on whoever is daft enuff to pay a wedge for a name that wont be used.

to look at it another way, the old owner would have sold his own mother if he could have got the right price for her. he must have tried to do this deal. now we have a man who can bring in this kind of sponsorship it must be a good thing? and it will still be villa park to the fans, don't you think
