What a great result for Blackburn, when they went behind, i really didnt think they would come back, but to go and win it is very good.

From recent form I really think they may be able to go the whole way in the UEFA cup like Middlesborough last season. They still have two home games in the group so I'm sure they'll get through comfortably.

Also David Bentley is looking very good at the moment, future England star?

Brilliant result rovers, it makes us proud to support you, and at last we had more than five minutes on tv.

Finally, Blackburn were one of the most entertaining teams to watch last year and the lack of TV coverage this year has been appalling.

And they put up another stirring display yesterday.

Well done Benni as well. Kept his composure well and the team as a whole deserved the 3 points.

oluwalola, your comments are ridiculous. If a Wisla player was saying racist things to Benni, then Benni has a moral duty to report it. There is NO PLACE for racism in football, regardless of whether it is from fans or players.

Racist players should be punished until racism is totally eliminated from the game. Your argument that he just just put up with it because other players may have 'cried wolf' in the past is utterly ridiculous.

If I were you I'd think long and hard about your attitude to racism in football.

The racism issue in some countries is not funny whether you're white, black or whatever...but they get away with it time after time.

There was a bit going on about it in the Press before England played (sorry, went) to Croatia recently.

Personally I don't believe it will end until the team being abused just walks off and claims the game, whatever the score at the time. Some things are worth the moral stand, never mind the money and the TV rights.

We'll soon see where UEFA and FIFA stand then, won't we?

The last time I recall any action at all was when one of the big Spanish clubs (was it Real?) got fined about 2 days wages for their office cleaner, and what message did that send out.......?

No oluwalola, Martin Luther King stood for social equality, not social justice. And, its by collating these ‘isolated’ racial comments and highlighting them that the difference can be made. Hence, everytime racial abuse happens it needs to be highlighted to strengthen the movement that it won’t be accepted.

I understand your viewpoints but this is not about making these comments per se ‘cliché’ but bringing these comments to the forefront to change peoples (fans/players/public) opinions that it won’t be accepted. Racism won’t be given any tolerance or patience.

Final comment, the best role models are loving parents but even those with loving parents Ie your children will always have other role models such as footballers. However, the real problem is those who don’t have parents as role models, for example children who live in severe deprivation and glorify footballers and pop stars. We need to make sure that those who have the ability to influence such people don’t send messages that racism will be tolerated.

But you’re a good guy oluwalola

Yep, quite strange that he even thought it was quite strange, and even stranger that he then wrote it down and posted it.

I think UEFA's punishment of the Wisla player (5 match ban) shows that Benni was RIGHT to report the abuse, and that there was sufficient evidence to PROVE it happened. And it's good to see UEFA taking a strong approach.

Absolutely right.. benni Mac did exactly the right thing in reporting it, after letting his football do the talking. It was proved in the original case and now on appeal that the polish team and the player participated in a racist act against benni. Case closed.
