Am I being stupid, but why have the FA charged Joey Barton, what did he do
SO he dropped his shorts in front of 30 thousand Everton fans who for 90 odd minutes had given him some abuse. Yeah I know there is some previous between Barton and the toffee fans, but come Everton fans were you so offended by the sight of bare back side. Fans all too often now seem to think they can abuse and insult a player, but the minute the player gives some abuse back they cry like babies.
Point in case was my team, West Ham, the so called fans who sang songs about Glenn Roeder and his tumour but then moanded when he clapped his owns fans, come on lads, get real.

NAFS says "what about the Liverpool fans were they not giving abuse to G Neville he only kissed the badge not droped his shorts and showed his backside as normal the FA showing double standards Neville got 2 game ban plus fine"

It was pointed out to you yesterday that Neville only got a fine so there were no double standards.

This isnt about ferguson. Duncan got away with NOTHING and actually got mare cards than he deserved. you could say his card was marked by the FA and referees alike. Btw it was Sharner who he hit. This about JB. He did wrong and anyone who works in or around the FA knew it was a no-brainer that he'd get at least a fine. Thats what he got and it should be the end of the matter.
One last thing if EFC fans were being abusive, did the Police take action? No!! Why would that be? Because if they did they'd be nicking thousands every week up and down the country. Tell me one club who has fgans that don't hurl abuse in one form or another?

He didn't - he got a 5000 fine and a warning to his future conduct. Read any news artical with regards to it. Get your facts right and it might seem that United aren't that hard done by for a change.

And for the record, I thought Gary shouldn't have got any punishment either.

I now see people on here trying to convince themselves that the Barton incident was as bad if not worse than the Chuckle Brothers from last year................
Ha ha ha grow up. Barton reacted to a few idiots by showing his bot, now chuckle brother showed his lack of class by running half the pitch to specifically celebrate infront of the away support therby increasing the likelyhood that it was cause fractious problems with the scousers. Admittedly they were both reacting to opposition support, but that I think is where the similarity ends. Chuckle knew it would antagonise and did it as a wind up. Barton although was reacting there was obv no malice in it. That is why there was a difference in the fines etc.

Im sure the law on Indecent exposure is that it includes the genitals and not the buttocks. So on that score I dont think he coulda been done. Another trumped up charge may have been suffice, public order or some other shyte. Merseyside Police would like to of nicked him, coz then they would of had a 'barton full house' instead of just a 'flush'

Someone else making jokes about Joey Barton's brother getting sent down - these Scousers find it hilarious don't they?

Barton is also plain racist. The UK needs to address their racism same way Spain is doing it.

Maybe he needs a good beat up same way he did to his black teammate.
