UEFA CUP DRAW

Tottenham Hotspur

Bayer Leverkusen
Club Brugge
Besiktas
Dinamo Bucharest
TOTTENHAM

Quite a tough draw, but I predict victories against Dinamo and club brugge, and draws against Besiktas and Bayer. The draw could have been kinder, it could also have been a lot worse.

Spurs shouldn't worry much about Club Brugge. They barely qualified against a team called Rezumberok (or something like that). Spurs just have to make sure to keep Bosko Balaban out of the game and they'll do just fine.

It is a tought draw but Spurs should still be able to beat teams like this. They are one of the top sides in the Premiership so teams of this stature should be beaten by Spurs easily.

Bosko Balaban? oh well thats Spurs' European adventure over before it really started then!!

(Balaban is that guy who Villa brought for a ton of cash and then never even played, right?)

@Ta5

Yeh, that's the guy. He's pretty good on free kicks just outside the box but other than that he's nothing special.

it's not a terrible draw, spurs should qualify as 3 go through. let's be honest it's an excuse of a competition and uefa just don't care about it. they run it as an afterthought. it's a bobbins tournament run really badly. games on a thursday, league games spilling over into sunday, 5 teams in a group, teams coming in from the champions league. it's almost like they're trying to see how much they can run it down in the hope that clubs will say, "you know what? we'd rather not play in it." then uefa can stop running it and concentrate on ruining the game properly, sorry i meant running thre champions legaue. which amounts to the same thing.

i think any draw we would of got would be tough but looking at the sides, i can see us winning a few of them. If we keep up the effort we put in agaist pompey, i can really see us ending up 6th and getting to the quarters in the uefa, but thats a big hopefully.

Balaban is quality these days. Its not his fault Villa bought him when he was only 20 and inexperianced. He is on the scoresheet regulary for Brugge.

There are no easy games for Spurs at the moment. Yes they are improving but they are still far from being the finished article. They need to have a season where they DON'T buy 8 players to allow for some gelling to take place!
