Babychams big tune 'Ghetto Story' has been getting the remix treatment with first Akon and now Alicia Keys on versions of the track, plus the Uk's very own YT has his own version 'England Story'. If you haven't heard all the versions listen back to our show last night and let us know which one you prefer: www.bbc.co.uk/radio/...

To be honest the original version is the best for me. When u add big artists to tunes like dat, they just end up bussing up the good vibes. LEAVE IT HOW IT IS!

I'm feeling the Alicia Keys refix more than the Akon refix but the original holds it's own merit.

I loved Baby Cham's Ghetto Story and the 85 riddim from when I first heard it. Since I've listen to it a little too much tho smiley I now enjoy the remix with Ms Alicia Keys to the fullest! That shit is hoooott, I think their voices and versions r really cool together. Peace I'm out LUV, K magic

Ok so I may be a little biased, but Keety General's version...Carnival Story is BAAAAAAAADDDDDDDD.

Other than the rididm being wicked, Babycham smashes it because its so lyrically important...about how hard it was growing up in the ghetto...

That is why Keety smashes his re-make. He focusses on the story of Soca Music and Carnival in the UK...HEAVY!

Check it out - I ran it this week on International Sounds of Soca...we also had a guest Chutney Soca Mix and a celebration of St. Vincent Carnival 2006!

Love and vibes,

Alex Jordan

Honestly, the first original version is the best to me.

just for everybody to notice the impact of Cham's tune, there are also a German Story and Daddy Mory story realised in those countries.

Bless Up

a prime example of how a wicked tune gets rammed by to much radio play and to many people copying it,not takin anythin away from cham but da tune dont carry to much weight anymore an its a dam shame

Good reggae songs always end up being played to death. No one will want to hear Ghetto Story next year. The original is the best; all the new versions are clumsy sounding to me. Alicia is pretty but only Akon's version nearly works for me. Give the song a rest now.

Let's hope that Beenie Man and Akon get a no.1 hit with "Girls."

Or do they need a white looking girl on the track before radio will play it. Think of Nelly Furtado, Lily Allen and Shakira.
