Title: Opening of the Tamar Bridge
The Tamar B
ridge cost over £1.5 million and was opened to traffic in October 1961. It was officially opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother on 26th April 1962.

It was the first major suspension bridge to be constructed in the UK after World War II and was the longest suspension bridge in the UK at that time.
