Start QuoteOnly have a few minutes here but here´s a quick update from Donaueschingen at the source of the Danube in the Black Forest, southern Germany.

Ed on his bikeTwo words: snow and hills. Lots of both.

Hard work but I´m going to follow the Danube river downstream for a few days now so a bit of freewheeling will be welcome after a lot of climbing recently.

One thousand, five hundred and twenty kilometres on the clock so far, but it doesn´t seem to have made much of an impression on the map from Exeter to Shanghai!

From here it should be downhill along the Danube all the way to the Black Sea. Somehow I doubt it will work out that simple.

Next "stop": Regensburg.
