Home town Petrockstowe continued
Petrockstowe may be small but there's still lots to do

Although the population of the village is quite small, around 400, there are many active clubs and societies; the gardening club, W I. local history society and the village art group which is responsible for this painting of the local Church of Saint Petroc by local artist Tony Gordon who also runs the Guest House in the village.

Brushing up on your painting at the village art group is just one of the activities you
can take part in

As well as the church, which has some interesting architectural features and a mound in the churchyard which is the burial place of soldiers from the Civil War, there's also a Methodist Chapel in the village.

Petrockstowe has much to offer those who prefer a quieter life, part of the platform of the old village station still remains, as does the old station yard, both now form part
of the popular Tarka Trail, a cycle route, footpath and haven for a large variety of wildlife including deer, lizards, bats, and many birds such as owls, bullfinches, yellowhammers, long tailed tits, buzzards and many more.

Somewhere over the rainbow is Petrockstowe
Looking for the crock of gold? It could be Petrockstowe is all the treasure you'll need

I don't think that
there's a crock of gold at the end of
this rainbow.... but you never know!
