Devon Demos - Guitar

How did you choose the name, Carnaby?
It's after Carnaby Street in London, the famous "mod" shopping street which the band have taken trips to go spending £££s, Crap name....I thought of it! (Chris)

Which three words best describe your music?
On the horizon.

Does Carnaby have a good following?
Our first ever gig, open mic night at The Cooperage, a night that ususally atracts about five people, we brought down over 100, then before we'd left the stage we got offered a paid gig. Top!

Carnaby's drummer Zac Gribble
Zac on drums

Who's who in the band?
Anthony Barry, singer, he loves Michael Jackson and hates people who don't!
Jimmy Gallagher, bass player who's sound as a pound - his pound!
Liam Reeve - plays rhythm guitar what more do you need to know about someone called Liam for heaven's sake?
Zac Gribble is our drummer and I'm Chris Willsher on Lead Guitar....nothing much to say about us.

What is "Will I Like You" all about?
"Will I Like You" took about half an hour to write. It's about a friend of mine I'd never met, thinking "will I still like you after we meet".

And did you?
No!

What do you think of the current music scene?
It's a real mixed bag at the moment, indie, punk, nu metal, it's all in the charts. Pop's always going to be there because it sells. Now it's time for nu indie!

Who's in your record collection?
Every genre of music really - except Craig David!

Tell me about the future?
What of it? It's going to happen, may as well make the most of it, may as well sell millions, earn millions, buy a big house and live happily ever after. I don't deserve to live in Plymouth till I die, no-one deserves that! Just carry on writing songs and hoping for the best.

And if you become famous?
You mean WHEN..... world peace will happen and I will have gold teeth.
