No-one could ever accuse The Adventures Of...of being just like all the other young bands you've ever seen and heard.

The three-piece from West Devon are original to the point of bizarre.

They live in the make-believe world of Theolonius Waghorns' Carnival of Wonderment and the Bizarre.

But their quirky live shows - featuring performances from clowns, jugglers, burlesque dancers and ventriloquists - shouldn't confuse you into thinking they're not focused about their musical careers.

The band's live shows are...different

The band are: singer and guitarist Adam Hanington, Will Gee (vocals and bass guitar), and drummer James Whitlock. Based in the Tavistock and Holsworthy areas, their dream is to get a record deal.

"We are a concept band," said Adam. "We've created this whole little world which the band exists in and we write stories about it to bring it to life in our live shows.

"But we are a serious commercial band as well. It's just that we've got a theme and are doing something different to anyone else."

For the time being, the band are doing part-time jobs during the day and live shows as often as they can in the evenings.

Adam writes the songs - "usually about relationships and people we meet and stories I pick up from other people."

And, having been together as a band for a year, they're now looking to progress: "We're unsigned at the moment but we want to make a career out of this," said Adam.
