Paignton Beach: Blue Flag Beach

Information on Paignton Beach, Paignton - one of Devon's Blue Flag beaches.

Paignton Beach is a popular family beach with a long promenade. The shallow sea is deal for paddling and with pedalos and boats for hire.

Behind the beach is Paignton Green - a safe grassy area which is used for various activities and events during the summer season.

The beach is divided by a traditional seaside pier with all the usual amusements and refreshment facilities. Nearby is a crazy golf course and multi-screen cinema.

At the southern end of the beach there is a lively harbour offering countless boat trips along the South Devon coastline.

Access:

Walking distance from Paignton town centre, clearly signposted. There is easy access via local bus routes.

The area is quite flat and has excellent access for disabled people and wheel chairs.

It's also on the main seafront road between Torquay and Paignton.
