Jack and the Beanstalk

Jack and the Beanstalk

It's panto time again, and this year's festive offering at Torquay's Princess Theatre is Jack and the Beanstalk.

Leah Bracknell and Stuart Wade star in this year's Christmas panto at the Princess Theatre in Torquay.

They appear in festive favourite, Jack and the Beanstalk, from 14 December 2007 until 6 January 2008.

Leah is best known for her roles in the TV shows Emmerdale and The Royal.

The panto - produced by New Pantomime Productions - tells the story of how Jack and his widowed mother struggle to make ends meet.

Jack is sent to sell the family's cow - but he comes back not with a bag of gold, but with a bag of magic beans.

His mother throws them onto the ground in anger, and a giant beanstalk grows overnight.

At the top of the beanstalk lives a giant who goes in search of Jack, with the show's best known line: "Fe Fi Fo Fum, I smell the blood of an Englishman."

However, all's well that ends well...
