Information about Bantham Beach in the South Hams - one of Devon's Blue Flag beaches.

Bantham Beach on the South Devon coast is in an idyllic spot. It's in an area of outstanding natural beauty, and you can look across to Burgh Island.

The sandy beach is perfect for families, and the sea conditions are often good for surfers. In fact, it's a popular beach for several watersports.

There are also sand dunes and rock pools for youngsters.

During the summer, there is a lifeguard service on hand. Facilities include toilets and first aid, and there is disabled access.

There is a pay car park.

How to get there: At the roundabout on the A379 between Churchstow and Aveton Gifford, follow the signs for Bantham.
