Tunnels Beaches: Blue Flag Beach

Information on Tunnels Beaches, Ilfracombe - one of Devon's Blue Flag beaches.

Tunnels Beach in Ilfracombe, North Devon, is a unique place - visitors reach the beach via four tunnels.

This is a spectacular stretch of coastline, sprinkled with coves.

The Blue Flag beach is a tidal pool which is popular with children, who can enjoy inflatables and snorkelling in safety.

Facilities include a visitors centre, cafe, lifeguards, car park, and there are facilities for people with disabilities.

How to get there: Follow signs for Ilfracombe and then the brown tourist signs within the town for Seafront and Tunnels Beaches. Several car parks on Wilder Road, which leads to the sea front.
