Preston Beach: Blue Flag Beach

Information on Preston Beach, Paignton - one of Devon's Blue Flag beaches.

Preston Beach in Paignton is a red sand beach next to the main beach in the resort, Paignton sands.

It's a popular family beach with a long promenade lined with the famous multi-coloured beach huts

Behind the beach is Preston Green - a safe area for the children to have fun.

At the north end of the beach at low tide are rock pools to explore.

Access:

Close to Paignton, clearly signposted. There is easy access via local bus routes. Bus Nos. 3, 12, 118, 122.

Preston can easily be reached on foot from nearby Paignton as well as Preston. The area is quite flat and has excellent access for disabled people and wheel chairs.

It's also on the main seafront road between Torquay and Paignton.
