ProfilesYou are in: Devon > Events > BBC Devon Introducing > Profiles > Leon ![]() LeonLeon, from Exeter, invites you to enjoy "an acoustic, atmospheric, chilled songwriting experience". He's been telling BBC Introducing about his music. Q: Tell us about Leon... A friend suggested I keep the name simple… so I did. Some suggest I should drink a pint of milk a day… just like in the film! Q: Which three words best describe your music. Q: What's the name of the track you want to demo? This song reflects the feelings of hope and frustration. Although seemingly a love song it's more an amalgamation of love and society and how the two affect each other. I guess sometimes it's all a little difficult to pinpoint that exactly so we are just left hoping we get it right. ![]() Check out Leon's website for more songs and photos Q: What do you reckon to the current music scene? The range of sounds is fantastic and it creates many different types and layers of music. Stephen Fretwell is particularly inspiring at the moment. Q: Who else do you enjoy listening to? Q: If you could invite any three people to a dinner party - who would you choose? Then Hamlet could come along and I reckon those two would have a good old natter about life and tragedy. To give us a bit of spice I'd then invite Neal Cassady (not David) who is Jack Kerouac's travelling partner on so many occasions. He would probably talk about how Allen Ginsberg managed to stop time with his saxophone. I imagine it would be a fun dinner with a philosophical edge. Q: What are the highs and lows of living in Devon? It is beautiful in its traditions and the fact that many things remain from our past, and indeed these are preserved. However, at the same time it needs to continue embracing the future (which I think it is doing) although this may have been a frustration for some. Q: Complete the sentence: "When I become famous....."
