Who's On Air?

You are in: Devon > BBC Radio Devon > Who's On Air? > Douglas Mounce

Pegging out! BBC Radio Devon's Douglas Mounce.

Douglas with Sunday night fun.

Douglas Mounce

Douglas Mounce is one of Radio Devon's evergreen favourites. He's the only member of the BBC Radio Devon team who's been at the station since it first started broadcasting back in 1983.

Douglas plays the fool for BBC Radio Devon and plays the Dame every Christmas in pantomime.

Every Sunday Douglas takes a look around the arts scene in Devon on Showtime (5pm - 6pm), which features some of the best music from the West End and Broadway, plus interviews with performers, directors, writers and producers.

Dougie loves the musicals.

It's that love of all things showbiz that makes Douglas's regional Sunday late shows (10pm - 1am) a compelling listen. Dougie's wit and charm, mixed in with some of the best celebrity guests in the West, all provide for three hours of really great evening company and bonhomie.

Douglas is the only member of the BBC Radio Devon team who's been at the station since it first started broadcasting back in 1983, a true testament to his popularity in Devon.

When he's not broadcasting - or on the treading the boards - Dougie keeps his fans happy compering variety shows and making personal appearances.
