Edward's video reports

As Devon cyclist Edward Genochio pedals the 15,000 miles home from Shanghai to Exeter, he'll be sending us short video reports. You'll need RealPlayer installed on your computer to be able to watch them.

APRIL 7th, 2006
Downhill all the way home

Here's a short clip from 5050 metres, at the top of what should be the highest pass between China and Exeter.

Edward's beard causes a stir

Edward Genochio - on his bike again!
A clean shaven Edward.

Another report from Edward. His beard is rapidly returning and it's causing quite a stir as he cycles through China.

Lake Taihu and White Cow Bridge

Two more video reports from Edward:
Riding west along the shores of Lake Taihu on a beautifully peaceful country road and crossing over White Cow Bridge. Click on the links to watch them both.

The Journey Begins

I "officially" started the long ride home yesterday, from the Pacific coast just east of Shanghai.  Some time before Christmas next year (2006) I should reach the Atlantic coast off the south-west of England.

Sorry this movie isn't Hollywood-grade, but it shows the Pacific, at least. Or really, the slightly murky-muddy waters where the Yangtze flows into the Pacific - half ocean, half river.

AUGUST 7th, 2005

It's one month before Edward leaves China. He sent us this report from his flat in Shanghai. "It's a bit plain," he tells us, "but the scenery should get much more exciting once I get back in the saddle."
