Report:
On the night of Wednesday 4th February 2004, in the Allestree
area of Derby, Mrs 'TB' was woken up by a loud 'crackling noise.'
She thought at first that it might have been a firework, then almost
at the same moment, her bedroom 'lit up.'
Thinking that the front door security light may have been activated
Mrs 'TB' moved over to the window and looked down, but there was no
sign of anyone there. She then realised that the light was coming
from above and she moved to another window which overlooked the 'Allestree
Golf Course' for a clearer view.
It was then she saw what she described as 'an orange fireball' moving
slowly across the sky and leaving a 'sparkling trail' in its wake.
The glowing ball of light passed over the golf course and flying low,
it disappeared out of sight over some distant trees.
"It was about the height and speed of a low flying aircraft"
said Mrs 'TB,' "But is was the loud crackling that woke me up."
Omar comments: This type of UFO sighting is familiar and has reported
on several occasions. We have to consider the possibility of a natural
explanation such as 'Ball Lightning' as so little is known about this
phenomenon. |
