Dean first applied for a job at the BBC when he was 14 years old but it was well over a decade after that before he was allowed anywhere near a microphone!

With a reputation for clinching 'exclusive' interviews with the biggest stars in the music business Dean can often be found trying to control unruly crowds of would-be pop stars and their hangers-on at the studio.
