Thousands of people have celebrated completing the Derby 10k and Fun Run.

And fastest of all the runners was Neil Renault, from Long Eaton Running Club, who finished in a time of 31.05m.

He said: "I'm a little bit tired - there's nothing quite like the feeling of blood in your lungs!

"It was hard work through the city centre - much harder than it looks when you're just out doing your shopping.

"But there's been really good support all the way along - I've been getting a big shout every half-kilometre."
