Why not pick up a free tree from Derby Market Place on Saturday 10th November? Who knows what your baby tree will become..?
Pick up a free treeAs part of Derby becoming a BBC Breathing Places city, Wild Derby and BBC Breathing Places continue to celebrate the nature that surrounds us and encourage you to get involved. From 10am until stocks last, head over to Derby Market Place to pick up your very own young tree. After picking up your tree the "potting shed" will be there to provide a potting service. There will also be heaps of information on how to plant your tree and tree identification advice. The BBC Bus team will be there to take your picture and your pledge. Step on board and tell them where you will be planting your sprouting tree and in some cases who you are planting the tree for. Get Green, Get Messy! On the same day, Derby Museum are also running a set of green-fingered family activities including having a go at seed planting. You can also get your hands dirty creating a leaf litter collage or 'glam-up' your tree by making your very own tree bling. Events are running at the museum from 11am until 4pm.
