Matlock Level Trail

Advice:The main trail is generally suitable for wheelchairs and buggys although care is required at certain points. The Allen Hill Extension and Old Matlock Loop are not suitable for wheelchairs and buggys.
In Brief:A circular walk with an optional half-mile extension, taking in points of historic interest. The walk also contains the Old Matlock Loop route which can be done as a seperate walk. This will add an extra mile and an extra hour to the walk.
Start:The Matlock level Trails starts on the downstream (south eastern side) of Matlock Bridge. The Old Matlock Loop starts and finishes in Knowleston Place.
Points of interest:The walk points out mnay places of historic interest. There are also great views of this former spa town.
More info:The distances and times given above are for the basic Matlock Level Trail walk. The Allen Hill extension will add an extra half mile. The Old Matlock Loop is one mile and will add about an hour to the length of the walk.

Parking:There are a number of car parks in the town. This includes the station car park (off the A6) on the sharpe bend by Snitterton Road and a car park on Bank Road.
