Longnor Beer Festival

More than 30 bands will be performing at a North Derbyshire pub this weekend for the inaugural Longnor Beer Festival.

If you love drinking beer and listening to live music, the first Longnor Beer Festival will be right up your street.

Featuring 30 live acts over two days, the event is being held at the Crewe and Harpur Arms in Longnor near Buxton.

The music's a pretty eclectic mix - rock, blues, folk, jazz, country and even poetry - and features acts from across the region and from as far afield as the US.

The biggest names are guitarist Adam Bomb, who's slotted his Saturday appearance into his UK tour, and Matlock-based folk and blues group Left Hand Drive, who play on Sunday.

Event organiser Clive Leighton said: "It's a real coup getting Adam Bomb now he's gaining momentum all over Europe and a great chance to be one of the first to see his live UK show.

"Left Hand Drive have made great efforts to arrange their visit and it's a privilege to have them at the inaugural Festival."

Entry to the event is free and it all kicks off at noon on Saturday.
