Peak District Walking Festival 2005

The first ever Peak District Walking Festival will be one of the biggest in the country. It starts on 16 April and ends on 2 May. Many of the walks are already booked up but there are still plenty to choose from.

Description:Whether you're a rambler or an ambler, a stroller or a strider, the Peak District's first ever walking festival has something for everyone. The festival runs for two weeks and will feature 150 new walks with expert guides on hand across the Peak.

Whatever your ability or interest in walking, the Peak District's first ever walking festival will have something for you. With plenty of walking choices, it will be difficult not to enjoy the beautiful scenery, stunning viewsand fantastic wildlife on offer in the Peak.

The first ever Peak District Walking Festival is set amid the moorland peaks and gentle rolling valleys of High Peak, Derbyshire Dales and Staffordshire Moorlands. The two-week festival runs from April 16 to May 2 and offers a huge programme of guided walks - both above and below ground!

There are still plenty of choices available for all abilities and interests, but booking is essential, and people are advised to make their reservations fast on 0870 444 7275.

The Peak District is a prime location for a walking festival, as it is already one of the most popular areas for ramblers, hikers and strollers amid some of the most spectacular scenery in the country.
