On Yer Mikes!

Are you an unsigned singer, songwriter, band or MC? Do you write your own material and can you perform live? If the answer is yes, then the Egg on Yer Mikes Showcase could be looking for you!

On Yer Mikes is funded by Egg's developing local talent programme, and is run by the Derby Dance Centre. Following the success of last years competition, the showcase returns and is once again looking for unsigned acts in the Derby area.

The winning act will be given the chance to create and record their very own music video. After this, they will meet key figures in the music industry and be given vital feedback on their music and learn a bit more about how the music industry works.

The six best unsigned acts will then perform in the finale at the Assembly rooms on Tuesday 24 May 2005.

Applicants from any genre of music are welcome; from punk to indie, pop to grime, and hip-hop to R&B. As long as performers submit their own material they are valid to enter.

To be in with a chance of getting through, your application needs to be received by Friday 8 April 2005.

Application forms are available from Derby Dance Centre on 01332 370 911 or by emailing info@derbydancecentre.co.uk. Alternatively, application forms can be downloaded from the website. Please click on the link to the right.
