The Home Affairs Committee held an evidence session on the work of the Home Secretary on 14 July 2014.

The session with Theresa May covered the resignation of crossbench peer Baroness Butler-Sloss as chair of the newly set-up inquiry into historic allegations of child abuse.

Committee members also raised continuing delays in the passport service and Islamic extremism in schools, with the Home Secretary.
