Westminster Hall: Female genital mutilation


On 10 March 2014, MPs took part in a debate on an e-petition calling for the end to female genital mutilation in the UK.

This Westminster Hall debate was tabled by Labour MP Keith Vaz.

E-petitions are debated in Westminster Hall when they receive over 100 000 signatures and are approved by the Commons' Backbench Business Committee.
