Westminster Hall: Additional holiday charges debate

MPs took part in a debate on additional charges by holiday companies during school holidays on 24 February 2014.

It was prompted by an e-petition calling for government action, which attracted nearly 166,000 signatures - more than the 100,000 threshold to trigger a parliamentary debate.

Campaigners are calling for a "cap" on percentage price rises during school holidays.

The Liberal Democrat MP, John Hemming, has championed the petition, and led the debate.
