Olympic Legacy Committee

The House of Lords Olympic and Paralympic Legacy Committee heard evidence from Lord Coe and senior figures from the British Olympic Association and UK Sport, on 19 June.

The committee was set up to look into the strategic aspects of the Games' legacy, focusing on attention regeneration and sporting legacy.

The 2012 Olympics took place from 27 July to 12 August, and the Paralympic Games took place from 29 August to 9 September. London 2012 made London the first city to have hosted the modern Olympic Games three times - in 1908, 1948, and 2012.
