Assembly supports committee report on European Issues

The Assembly gave its support to an OFMDFM report that noted the activity all statutory committees had carried out on European issues between May 2011 and August 2012, on 21 January 2013.

Chris Lyttle, the deputy chairman of the OFMDFM committee, said that committees needed to continue to engage with Executive departments "to ensure that Northern Ireland's voice is being heard on the issues which directly affect this region".

He said the OFMDFM Committee would rely on the work of other statutory committees to scrutinise their own respective departments' work on Europe.
