Sensational Six Become Fallen Five!
Both teams had 'disco fever' in Show Six – the DanceX semi final. The pressure was on for both teams and alongside some light-hearted banter there was a competitive edge between Bruno and Arlene - both desperate to keep all members of their team to go through to the big final.
But Team Bruno won the most votes for the second week running and Team Arlene had to lose another contestant.
In a dazzling disco themed show Team Bruno were first to dance with a routine to the Jamiroquai hit 'Canned Heat' and in true 70's disco style Marcquelle was sporting a funky afro! Bruno was overjoyed with his team and said they were a "funky disco ride rooted in 2007." Arlene thought Bruno's group had improved but made a comment about their messy footwork and suggested they "spend less time on dramas!"
In Team Arlene's dance routine the pressure was on for disco champ Kalvin. Dancing to 'Shake Your Groove Thing' by Peaches and Herb, Arlene was really impressed by her team – particularly Chelsey. Bruno also had praise for Chelsey but thought there had been lots of mistakes.
In the singing round Team Bruno performed 'I'm Coming out' by Diana Ross. Bruno was pleased saying "this is class, the real deal." Arlene was also full of praise – "I liked it vocally and visually."
Team Arlene performed the classic 'Car Wash' by Rose Royce and Arlene was clearly happy with the way they 'worked, and worked'. Vocal coach Josh thought they did well but Bruno felt they needed more polish.
Dancing and singing to 'Le Freak' by Chic, Team Bruno performed some great moves with flips and flares! Bruno told them they were "the total package" and that Rana was just like Diana Ross! Arlene agreed that Rana looked great but thought the overall performance was average and that Claire's vocals were off.
Team Arlene performed 'We Are Family' by the Weather Girls. Arlene was happy with her group saying "they felt it, they danced it, they sang it!" But Bruno retorted that they were below average and that the vocals weren't sharp.
Both groups went head to head in a final routine to the Bee Gees' classic 'You Should Be Dancing' and then it was time to reveal the winning group. Ben Shephard revealed that Team Bruno had the most votes and Arlene would have to choose one of her team to leave DanceX.
The tension was building as Arlene decided which contestants would be staying in the team. She picked Camilla first, as she was impressed with her acting during the performances. She picked Daniel next as "the group could not exist without his warmth." She then chose Chelsey and Emanuel leaving Ashley and Kalvin to face a last chance dance off.
Ashley was devastated to be in the bottom two and Kalvin called it the "worst feeling in the world", but they both pulled themselves together to perform 'What A Feeling' by Irene Cara. Arlene had to make her choice, and although she "loved him to bits", she picked Kalvin to go home.
Which team will pull out all the stops to make it as DanceX Champions in next week's final?

i thought camilla would have been chosen to leave,as her vocals/dancing are weaker than the other girls.perhaps arlene wants to keep her in for her looks and because she feels sorry for her.kalvin was always full of energy and warmth,with strong vocals.i don't think the group will be the same without him.

Come on Team Bruno. Excellent interpretation of the music, amazing routines, a whole group of singers and amazing dancers. Although can't believe Arlenes decision to axe Calvin, the most personailty of the whole group a sure fire success on any stage. Best of luck for the future Calvin!

Wicked!! Team Bruno stomped Arlene this week, and she kept Camilla and dropped Kalvin(how stupid, lol!). The woman obviously got no idea.

I felt for Phoenix following the V.T. aired prior to his teams live performance this week. THE GUY WAS VISIBLY UPSET BY IT, BUT WENT ON TO GIVE HIS USUAL POWERFUL PERFORMANC. I have no doubt Phoenix had valid reasons for wanting to leave or that leaving had crossed the minds of all contestants since Rebecca's dreams were dashed. Yes! Phoenix! Keep it real! X. I used to support team Arlene but because she kicked Kalvin out of the group, it's Team Bruno all the way!!! Kalvin was practically the best all round dancer and I think Arlene only saved Emmanuelle because she fancies him!

Can't believe Kalvin went he is such an amazing dancer-Emanuel should have gone. Sorry but Emanuel's singing sounds like a cat bein strangled, luckily for him he looks like a dancer. Soooooo glad that team Bruno won. They have such passion and really look like a group. Team Bruno to win!!!!!

I'm Ashley's mother and I was truely shocked that we didn't win this week as I thought we was amazing. Yes.... Kalvin was very dignified and I found it extremely hard to cope with as it came down to a dance off between Kalvin and Ashley. Where do we comment on the coaches? Ashley's choreography is fabulous-exciting, varied and playing to everyone in Team Arlene's strengths....shame the BBC camera work doens't always show it in its best light (close ups are not helpful in the middle of group numbers!)

How could camilla be the first contestant arlene saved??! I was absoloutely mystified she should have gone last week! She doesn't contribute anything unique to the group unlike kalvin and sounds like a little girl when she sings! Team bruno all the way!!! They always top performances, seem like pros already and its unfortunate they aren't winning! And arlene stop making up negatives about team bruno's performances because you can't think of anything that was bad!

Kalvin should not have gone, nor should Arlenes group have lost. Deeply disappointed, he was amazing! Arlene you need to give him a job in the Westend, his talents cant go to waste. Kalvin is a winner in the eyes of all his friends! we love the boy.

I think the decision to save Camilla was wrong and driven by the wrong reasons. Her performances were constantly weak in both dance and song and she was obviously chosen this week through sympathy for having been in the bottom two last week and her "I don't have anything else" plea.Kalvin's exit was incredibly dignified, and his audible comforting of Ashley was admirable.

I was amazed that Ashley was in the bottom 2 tonight. To me she is the most talented of them all, the best singer and her dancing and movement has a real edge to it, she is a natural. My top 3 from the whole dancex over all the shows are Ashley, Chelsey and Marquelle, but they are all fantastic, good luck to them all and I hope they all achieve great things
