22 year old Ife Kuku, originally from Milton Keynes, lives in Finchley, north London with her boyfriend, Terrence, and works from home as an account manager, for a chartered accountancy firm.
Born to a Nigerian mother here in the UK, Ife (pronounced If-ee) was adopted at six weeks old by a white family from Milton Keynes - who also adopted five other children as well as having three children of their own, making it one very large family.
Ife considers Laura and Michael to be her real mum and dad. Her parents financed her through dance school, and had she not been adopted she believes she would not have been given the opportunity to dance.
Ife has had some contact with her natural mother but only recently did she speak to her natural father for the first time. He contacted Ife from Nigeria about a month ago and wants to visit Ife for the first time in July.
Ife's interest in dance began when her mother took her and her sisters to the local dance centre when she was just nine years old. Ife's love for dancing grew and she soon progressed through three dance schools. Ife decided to audition for DanceX because she thought that it would be a fantastic opportunity to progress her goals and realise her dreams.
"DanceX is a collaboration of everything I love to do. I enjoy performing in front of a live audience, I enjoy the combination of commercial jazz and sexy chic and to be in a group is something that I have always aspired to."
Amazingly Ife was born with two extra fingers, which were removed shortly after her birth, and perhaps more amazingly still, Ife claims to be excellent at gargling!!

Ife should never have left, Arlene's team was clearly the best tonight (as all the text messages on the BBC THREE show agree!!) and Bruno's team surely only won as a sympathy vote. There was no contest in their performances, Team Arlene is the only one I would have put on a stage - they were consistently the best, and in time (unlike Bruno's lot)... Ife was a big part of that.Best of luck to you, whatever you choose to do. x
