Bobby: Audition heart-break forced him to dance

London born and bred, 22 year old Bobby is currently flat-sharing in Wimbledon, where he works as a theatre assistant at the New Wimbledon Theatre. His mum Eva and dad Joe are both retired and live in Surrey.
In November 2005, Bobby underwent extremely complex surgery to remove an abscess and patch up a major problem with his sinuses, and his sight. Understandably, this seriously affected his dancing for several months. However, Bobby now says that the entire experience has made him a better dancer and even more focused and determined to succeed.
Bobby's interest in dancing began after a failed audition for the role of young Chaplain in the Robert Downey Junior biopic of Charlie Chaplain. After auditioning, Bobby found himself down to the final two for the role but lost out on the part due to his inability to dance. Hugely frustrated by the experience, Bobby vowed that this wasn't something that would happen to him again and began to take his dancing extremely seriously.
He's been dancing since he was 8 years old and won the Janet Cram Boys Award for dance when he was aged just 10. Since then, his awards have dried up making him all the more determined to make a real go of DanceX.
Allergic to alcohol, Bobby's only major vice is 'being a fan of Fulham FC since I was a boy'.

Bobby has always been a bit of an extravert breaking out of a normal guy's body. Always highly involved in performance of any kind and not pretentious about his obvious talent. A thourally good bloke who deserves anything he goes for. Break a leg Bobby.Si Desborough(Bob)
